However, the fact that Numinous is considered the most hidden and heavily protected place in existence — and that no successful assault against it has ever been attempted — is often the subject of jokes among Sentries themselves.

Their second major responsibility is dealing with mutants, which represents both the most dangerous and the most common aspect of their work.
